Prepare Questions and Answers

First, to make exam questions on Google Forms, you need to prepare in advance the questions and answers that you want to use as Google Forms. You can prepare these questions in word or other media. The purpose of preparing these questions and answers is to make it easier for the teacher to calculate the final score or score for each student who has answered the exam questions. 

Open Google Forms

If your questions and answers are ready, you can start making exam questions online using the Google Form application. At this stage you will be shown a page containing a form template that you will use as a medium for the online exam.

On the start page of your google form, you will be shown a template page for the online exam form. Now at this stage you should write down information about the title of the course or subject that will be tested. For example, you can see the format in the following image:

Before you write or fill out the form with questions and answers, it is better to set the google form format to the quiz format. The method is quite easy, you just click the settings menu at the top then select quiz and then activate the quiz mode for the google form.

Value Release 

The second stage when you are setting up the Google Form Quiz is about the release of grades. In this menu you will be faced with two options namely 'Immediately After Each Shipment' Value Release or 'Later, after manual review' Value Release. You can adjust these two options according to your needs. However, if you select 'Later, after manual review', then you require each examinee to input information about their email address.

Respondents Can See

Furthermore, when setting up the google form quiz you will also be faced with 3 choices in the Respondents Can See this menu. Here there is the first option, namely Respondents can see 'Unanswered Questions', which means that respondents can see the identification of questions that have been answered correctly. Then in the second option, the respondent can see the 'Correct Answer' which means that the respondent can see the correct/correct answer after the score comes out. Furthermore, in the third option, the respondent can see the 'Point Value', which means that the respondent can see the total points and points received for each question.

General Settings

Okay, after the quiz settings are complete, then select the settings menu and click general settings. In this section, you should set the 'Need to Enter' section by limiting a maximum of 1 answer that can be submitted by the respondent considering this form is an exam form so it can only be done once by each respondent.

In addition, in the general settings menu, you should leave the 'Respondent can' setting menu blank or unchecked, considering that quizzes or exams generally cannot be edited after being submitted. 

Input Questions and Answers

After the setting stage is complete, then you can input questions and answers in the google form template. You can set the question format as multiple choice or essay at this stage. Then you will also be directed to enter the correct answer along with the score points per question so that later you don't have to bother to calculate the final score of each student.

Add Timer Add-on (Quilgo - Timer & Proctoring)

To add a processing time feature, you can add it by selecting the three-dot menu at the top of the google form and then selecting Add-ons. After that search Quilgo - Timer & Proctoring then install.

Quilgo List - Timer & Proctoring

Before you can use this feature, you are directed to register first to the Quilgo - Timer & Proctoring page. The step is to select the three-dot menu at the top of the google form then select  Quilgo - Timer & Proctoring.

After that, the following dialog box will appear containing a link to register for  Quilgo - Timer & Proctoring. 

If you have registered then you will get a token that you can use to add this feature to your google form. Copy the token then enable Quilgo - Timer & Proctoring. 

Go to Quilgo Dashboard - Timer & Proctoring halaman page

If you have previously enabled Quilgo - Timer & Proctoring, the exam form that you created earlier will be automatically linked on the Quilgo - Timer & Proctoring dashboard. Then select the 'Public form link' menu at the top, the following will appear:

 

Before you share the question link, you can edit settings such as the time or period of time for questioning and other settings that you can adjust to your needs.
